Solar and space weather research at the Sun and Solar System Department in the Institute of Astronomy and National Astronomical Observatory, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences is focused both on dynamic processes in solar atmosphere and their influence over the heliosphere. The group maintains solar observations infrastructure in Rozhen Observatory.
